Having lost someone very recently the waves of grief shake through my core when I least expect it to.
The bed seems like the safest place to hide when my emotions won’t subside and they leave me broken and worn like a rag doll who fought through the storm. Some days I have to force myself to get up and walk out in the sunshine to allow my being to breathe and let go.
If you’ve ever felt this way then you know it’s not as easy as talking yourself through the motions even when you are just tired of being sad.
You are not alone. You are not the only one and you are not strange or unwanted just because your mind tells you so.
We all get sad sometimes and that’s ok, we just can’t stay in that sadness forever, we can’t live in it. We must live through it.
So today I hope you allow your emotions to flow and you let them go. Breathe in the sunlight, write a poem, a letter, or paint a picture to get it all out.
Be a little selfish and love yourself just a little bit more.
Always yours,
