Poetry With Me

Will you find me in the dark?

The way I have found you so many times

Or will you give up your futile chase

Leave me to drown in the darkness

it surrounds me as I sit here waiting

Pulls at my fingertips begging me to come find all its secrets

and as I get up to walk towards the deepest parts of it

I look over my shoulder one last time hoping to see you shine your light

but all I see is darkness

there’s no light in sight.
